Mowbray Henry Gordon Howard, 6th Earl of Effingham (1905-1996), was a British peer and the son of the 5th Earl of Effingham. He was educated at Lancing College and served in the Royal Artillery during WWII. He was charged with manslaughter in 1932 but the case was dismissed. His first wife was interned by MI5 during WWII. He had two additional marriages, divorced twice, and had no children. He served on the board of a gambling club operated by the Kray twins in the 1960s. He was succeeded by his nephew David Howard.
