Muazzez Ersoy, born Khadija Yildiz Livant on August 9, 1958, in Uzunköprü, Edirne, is a prominent Turkish classical music artist. She earned the title of State Artist in 1998, recommended by the Ministry of Culture of Turkey's thirty-third government. Following her achievement, she became known as 'the queen' of Turkish classical music. In 2006, Ersoy was appointed as a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees goodwill ambassador, highlighting her influence and commitment to humanitarian causes.
