Mudar Badran was a Jordanian politician who served as Prime Minister of Jordan three times between 1976 and 1991. He held office from 1976 to 1979, then from 1980 to 1984, and finally from 1989 to 1991. In 1993, he was appointed to the Senate (Council of the Nobles) and received an honorary doctorate in economics from the Hashemite University in 2011. He survived an assassination attempt in Amman in February 1981 by the Syrian Defense Companies.
