Mugge Kølpin, born Helen Gerd Hansen on April 17, 1945, is a Danish fashion designer educated at Margrethe-Skolen in Copenhagen. She married theater director Jes Kølpin on December 19, 1964, and is the mother of ballet dancer Alexander Kølpin. In 1964, she founded her own company, Mugge Kølpin Design, capitalizing on the youth fashion wave that emerged. Her work gained significant success, and she designed for various manufacturers in Italy, America, and Australia.
