Muhammad Kamal Jabr (1948-2014) was a Palestinian writer and the older brother of novelist Muhammad Moheeb Jabr. Born in Burqa, near Nablus, he faced hardships in a refugee camp during his youth. He graduated in mathematics from Jordan University. A playwright and member of the Al-Zeitoun Theatre, he contributed to the Palestinian literary scene and was a founding member of the Palestinian Writers' and Journalists' Union. After the establishment of the Palestinian Authority, he worked in various cultural roles and was the editor of the magazine 'Waad' until his death.
