Muhammad Sa'id al-Sakkar was an influential Iraqi poet and calligrapher, born in 1934 in the region of Shahreban, Diyala. He worked in painting and ran a publishing house in Paris since 1978. He began his journalism career in 1955, contributing to various newspapers and magazines. Throughout his life, he published over 14 books encompassing poetry, visual arts, theater, short stories, and linguistic studies. He is recognized as one of the prominent figures in Arabic calligraphy during the 15th Hijri century. He passed away in Paris on March 23, 2014.
