Murray Peter Khouri (1941-2018) was an accomplished clarinettist from New Zealand and Australia, known for his performances with major orchestras globally, including the London Philharmonic and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. He studied at the Royal College of Music and debuted at Wigmore Hall. As a lecturer, he enriched the Canberra School of Music and co-founded significant ensembles in Australia. He also initiated music festivals in Bowral and Whanganui. A broadcaster for BBC and Radio NZ, Khouri left behind three children and passed away following heart surgery.
