Mushtaq Ahmed (December 5, 1967 - February 25, 2021) was a Bangladeshi dissident, author, and entrepreneur known by the literary name Michael Kumir Thakur. He founded Bangladesh's first commercial crocodile breeding farm and published 'Crocodile Farmer's Diary' in 2018. He was also working on another book. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was accused along with others for criticizing government corruption and mismanagement. After being denied bail 21 times, he died in prison on February 25, 2021.
