Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II is the 36th and current King (Kabaka) of the Buganda kingdom in Uganda, born on April 13, 1955, in Mmengo. The son of Sir Edward Frederick William David Walugembe Mutebi Luwangula Mutesa, he studied law at Magdalene College, University of Cambridge, though he did not graduate. Mutebi went into exile in London in 1966, returning to Uganda in 1986. He was crowned king on July 31, 1993, and married Sylvia Nagginda on August 27, 1999. Their daughter was born in London on July 4, 2001.
