Myroslava Antonovych (pseudonym: 'Surma') was born on May 8, 1913, in Bodnariv, now part of the Kalush district in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. She was an active member of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and an educator. Myroslava was also a cousin of Stepan Bandera, a prominent figure in the Ukrainian nationalist movement. She passed away on February 15, 2000, in Ivano-Frankivsk.
