N. Erik Palm (1912-1987) was a Swedish ophthalmologist who contributed significantly to the study of ion transport in the eye. He earned his medical degree at Lund University and became an associate professor in ophthalmology. He served as a senior physician at Lund and Örebro hospitals and held a professorship at Lund University from 1960 to 1978. His research utilized radioactive isotopes to trace phosphate ions in the eye and body. Palm was a member of the Royal Physiographic Society and is buried in Lund.
