Born on January 9, 1924, in Makhachkala, Russian SFSR, USSR, she was recognized as an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation in 1995. Shakhnazarova earned her Doctorate in Art Studies in 1988 and held the title of professor, contributing significantly to the field of music and education until her passing on October 2, 2016, in Moscow, Russia.
