Noshir Hormasji Antia was an Indian plastic surgeon and social worker who made significant contributions to the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals affected by leprosy. He founded three important NGOs, including the Foundation for Research in Community Health, the Foundation for Medical Research, and the National Society for Equal Opportunities for the Handicapped. Antia's work focused on improving the lives of patients, whether cured or not. In recognition of his efforts, he was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honor, by the Government of India in 1990.
