Nora Noë filia Zabinkova was a Russian lexicographer and translator born on May 28, 1927, in Petropolis. She was educated at Saint Petersburg University and taught Latin at the Komarov Botanical Institute and other institutions in Saint Petersburg. Zabinkova collaborated with Moyse Kirpicznikov on the Russian-Latin dictionary for botanists and created Russian-Latin geographical indices. She translated Carl Linnaeus's philosophical works into Russian and began but did not finish the translation of his 'Lachesis'. She passed away on June 16, 1999, in Petropolis.
