Nabeel Yasin is an Iraqi poet, journalist, writer, and political activist born on March 18, 1950, in Baghdad, where he also studied and graduated from the University of Baghdad in the Faculty of Arts. He left Iraq in 1980 to live in Hungary and later settled in the UK. Yasin earned a PhD in Philosophy from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 1986. He worked in Iraqi journalism from 1966 to 1980, and after moving to Beirut and London, he produced various programs for multiple channels. He has numerous publications on Iraqi political history, poetry collections, and children's literature.
