Nabi Avcı is a Turkish academic and political writer born on October 8, 1953, in Bilecik, Turkey. He previously served as the chief advisor to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Avcı was elected as a member of parliament for Eskişehir in the 2011 elections and later became the Minister of National Education on January 24, 2013. His contributions to Turkish politics and education have been significant.
