He is best remembered by puppet lovers for his roles in 'Žogica Marogica', 'Pavliha', and 'Kužek Postružek'. He also lent his voice to characters in the series 'Radovedni Taček', performing in 327 episodes between 1987 and 2000. Simončič started acting during WWII and became involved with the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre in 1951, eventually leading the puppet department at Television Slovenia.
