Nadezhda Dragova is a Bulgarian philologist, writer, playwright, and cultural scholar, specializing in Renaissance literature. Born on February 18, 1931, in Radnevo, she graduated from Sofia University in 1952. Dragova co-founded the Higher Pedagogical Institute in Shumen in 1971 and has lectured extensively on Bulgarian and Balkan studies in various European universities. She has authored several plays in collaboration with her husband, Pŭrvan Stefanov, and has contributed to literature and cultural studies with her research and publications. She is a member of various literary organizations.
