Nagen Saikia (born 1939) is an Assamese writer known for his versatility as a storyteller, novelist, educator, critic, editor, and professor. He introduced a new writing style called 'Mita-Bhasha' in Assamese literature, bringing innovation to the field. Saikia presided over the 1997 Bilasipara session and the 1998 Howraghat session of the Assamese Literary Society. He retired as a professor from the Assamese department at Dibrugarh University.
