Naguib Surur, born Mohamed Naguib Mohamed Higress on June 1, 1932, was an Egyptian poet, critic, and playwright, known as the 'Poet of Reason.' He was recognized for his contributions to literature and theater in Egypt. Surur married Egyptian artist Samira Mohsen and hailed from the village of Ikhtab, in the Daqahlia Governorate of Egypt. He passed away on October 24, 1978.
