Naína Iósifovna Yéltsina, born on March 14, 1932, in Oremburgo, Russia, is the wife of Boris Yeltsin, the first President of Russia. She graduated in 1955 from the Ural State Technical University in Yekaterinburg and worked on several projects at the Sverdlovsk Institute. Married in 1956, she has two daughters, Yelena and Tatyana Dyachenko. Naína is rarely seen in public but accompanied her husband on various international visits, including to Sweden and China. Her most notable public appearance was at her husband's funeral in Moscow in 2007.
