Rahman on films including Hindi Highway, Ranjhana, Rockstar, Delhi-6, and I. He is popularly known for playback in songs like 'Jabra Fan' from Fan, 'Shadis Ke Phool' and 'Gandi Baat' from Rajkumar (2013), and 'Dating Nach' from Phata Poster Nikla Hero. The latter two films featured Shahid Kapoor.
