Nam Parshad Bhatia, born on August 24, 1932, in Lahore, British India (now Pakistan), is an Indian mathematician. He studied at Agra University, earning his Bachelor's degree in 1952 and a Master's in 1954 and 1956, before completing his Ph.D. at the Technical University of Dresden in 1961. His dissertation focused on the application of Lyapunov's direct method to demonstrate the boundedness and stability of solutions to a class of nonlinear second-order differential equations. Bhatia has worked at several academic institutions and is involved in dynamic systems, ordinary differential equations, stability theory, and control theory.
