He is known for being the boke (funny man) in the comedy duo Peace, alongside his partner Yuji Ayabe. While Ayabe pursued a career in New York since 2016, Matayoshi has remained active in Japan, which has left the duo inactive. He hails from Neyagawa City in Osaka Prefecture and graduated from Hokuyo Senior High School.
