Naphtali Alves de Souza is a Brazilian civil engineer and politician, born in Morrinhos on November 3, 1940. He served as the mayor of Morrinhos from 1977 to 1983 and was a Federal Deputy for Goiás from 1986 to 1994. He held the position of Vice-Governor of Goiás from 1995 to 1998 and became the Governor of Goiás in 1998. Additionally, he was the President of the Court of Accounts of the State of Goiás from 2001 to 2002. He studied civil engineering at the Federal University of Goiás from 1965 to 1970.
