Narayan Prasad Singh (28 May 1933 - 6 June 2018) was an Odia poet and lyricist, renowned for writing over 100 songs for Odia films. He began composing poetry in the eighth grade, inspired by his literature teacher. He gained prominence through a poetry reading opportunity at Akashvani Cuttack in 1950 and learned the art of converting poems into songs from Kalicharan Pattnaik. By 1960, he achieved recognition as a lyricist and made his film debut in 1962 with the song 'Ratha Ja Chali Ja' from the movie 'Nua Bou'.
