Nariaki Nakayama (中山 成彬) is a Japanese politician born on June 7, 1943. He served as Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Junichiro Koizumi's cabinet, and later as Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism under the Abe administration. However, he resigned after just four days due to several gaffes. Appointed on September 24, 2004, he resigned on September 28, 2008. After losing his seat in the 2009 general election, he returned to the Diet as a member of the Japan Restoration Party in the 2012 elections, but lost his seat again in 2014.
