Nasimuddin Siddiqui is an Indian politician affiliated with the Indian National Congress, having previously been a prominent member of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Born on June 4, 1959, he became a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Uttar Pradesh in 1991 and later served as a cabinet minister under the Mayawati government. Siddiqui was expelled from the BSP by party chief Mayawati on May 10, 2017, and subsequently joined the Indian National Congress on February 22, along with over 35,000 supporters, including several MPs and MLAs from Uttar Pradesh.
