Natalie Myburgh, later known as Gillespie, was a South African swimmer born on May 15, 1940, in Knysna. She specialized in freestyle swimming and competed in the 1950s and 1960s, including the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne where she won a bronze medal in the 4x100 meters freestyle relay. Myburgh was also the first woman to swim under a minute in the 110 yards freestyle and set national records in multiple distances. She passed away on January 21, 2014.
