Nazarova's career includes a long tenure at GAZ from 1979 to 2004, ultimately leading the energy sales department. Subsequently, she directed Volgaenergosbyt from 2004 to 2009. Elected deputy in both the 7th and 8th State Dumas, she co-authored 69 legislative initiatives during her time in office.
