Nebi Bozkurt was a Turkish theologian, author, and former member of parliament born in Erdemli, Mersin. He graduated from Istanbul Higher Islamic Institute and completed his master's and doctorate at Marmara University. He worked as an imam and teacher before becoming an assistant in 1982, leading to his professorship in 2003. Bozkurt contributed numerous entries to the Turkish Religious Foundation's Islamic Encyclopedia across various fields. In addition to his academic pursuits, he had an interest in painting and received awards in local competitions. He was married and had three children.
