Edgar Adams Neely III (1940-1999) was an American professional tennis player and attorney from Atlanta. The national under-15s singles champion in 1955, he played collegiately for Georgia Tech and was recognized as an All-American. Ranked as high as 11th nationally, he reached the third round of the 1963 U.S. National Championships and participated in Wimbledon. Neely held a law degree and practiced in Atlanta. He tragically died in a plane crash in 1999, leaving behind his 14-year-old daughter, who survived.
