Neil Findlay is a Scottish politician and member of the Labour Party, born on March 6, 1969, in Broxburn. He attended St Kentigerns Academy and West Lothian College, and later studied at the University of Strathclyde and the University of Glasgow. Findlay has been a member of West Lothian Council since 2003 and is affiliated with the EIS teachers' union. He first ran for national office in the 2011 elections, securing a seat in the Scottish Parliament through the Labour Party's regional list for Lothian.
