Neil Christopher Prakash, born on May 7, 1991, is an Australian national who became known as Abu Khalid al-Kambodi after he joined the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). His Australian citizenship was revoked in December 2018. In April 2016, a U.S. airstrike targeting him killed four civilians. Rumors of his death surfaced in May 2016, but he was later confirmed to have been injured and fled. In November 2016, he was captured in Turkey. In March 2019, he was convicted in a Turkish court for membership in a terrorist organization and sentenced to seven and a half years in prison, reduced to six years on appeal.
