Nguyễn Chí Vịnh (May 15, 1959 – September 14, 2023), also known as Năm Vịnh, was a senior officer of the People's Army of Vietnam, attaining the rank of Major General. He served as the Deputy Minister of National Defense of Vietnam, overseeing diplomacy, intelligence, and peacekeeping operations. A member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, he was an alternate member of the Central Committee during the XI and XII terms and served on the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission. He led military intelligence for nearly eight years as the head of General Department 2.
