Nicholas Stern, Baron Stern of Brentford, born on April 22, 1946, in Hammersmith, is a British economist and academic. He serves as a professor of economics and government and is the director of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics. In 2010, he became a Collège de France professor. Since 2013, he has been the president of the British Academy. He is known for the Stern Review, published in 2006, which analyzed the economic impacts of global warming and climate change.
