Nico Been, born on December 17, 1945, in Groningen, is a former Dutch cyclist. He competed in the UCI Track Cycling World Championships and finished seventh in the 1971 Derny race. Been won the Dutch championships in 1975 and earned a fifth place at the World Championships that same year. He was also a three-time medalist in national championships from 1978 to 1979. Additionally, he set a one-hour world record of 74.272 kilometers in 1978. After retiring, Been lived by Lake Garda and rented out vacation apartments.
