Nico Haasbroek is a Dutch journalist born on December 17, 1943, in Amersfoort. He was the former editor-in-chief of NOS Journaal. Starting his career in 1966 with VPRO, he collaborated with his twin brother Jan Haasbroek. Haasbroek served as a journalist for various programs and was a correspondent in Bonn and New York from 1977 to 1983. He later became the editor-in-chief at Radio Rijnmond and the director of Stads TV Rotterdam. Their work together earned them the nickname 'Berlusconi's aan de Maas' when Jan became the editor-in-chief there.
