Nidal Fat'hi Rabah Farahat (born April 8, 1971 – February 16, 2003) was a military leader in the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. He is credited with inventing the Qassam rocket alongside martyr Tito Masoud, who was the idea's originator. Farahat was assassinated by the Israeli army while he was attempting to prepare an unmanned Qassam drone (Ababil 1).
