Niels Ole Mitens was a Faroese judge who operated in Denmark. Born on June 6, 1917, in Copenhagen and raised in Tórshavn, he was the son of Edward Mitens and Annie Wissing. He graduated from Sorø Akademi in 1935 and earned his law degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1942. Starting as a consulate secretary, he became a judge in various Danish towns, culminating in his appointment as a judge in Faaborg in 1973. He was honored as a knight of the 1st class of the Order of Dannebrog in 1979.
