Nigora Kholova is a Tajik singer born on September 25, 1989. She began singing at the age of five and gained recognition by winning the international competition Золотой птенец in 1998, held in Saint Petersburg. From 2009 to 2012, she was selected in the Tajikistan 'Song of the Year' contest. At 24, she received the Medal of Merit of the Republic of Tajikistan. Her first song 'Goim ya nagoyim' was inspired by her childhood illness and became one of the most listened songs of the 1990s in Tajikistan.
