Nikolai Matveyevich Velikov is a Russian pair skating coach born on June 6, 1945, in Nerekhta. He competed with his wife, Ludmila Sinitsina, achieving fifth place at the Soviet Championships. After retiring from competitive skating, Velikov became her coach alongside Anatoly Yevdokimov, leading them to win bronze at the 1972 USSR Cup and 1973 RSFSR events. Currently based in Saint Petersburg, Russia, they coach several notable pairs, including Anastasia Mishina/Aleksandr Galiamov and Polina Kostiukovich/Dmitrii Ialin, and have a long list of former students in the sport.
