Nina Alexeyevna Lobkovskaya was a Soviet sniper in World War II, achieving the rank of lieutenant. Born on March 8, 1924, in Fyodorovka, Kazakhstan, she was the eldest of five siblings. After moving to Tajikistan due to her father's health, she trained as a sniper at the age of 17. From February 1945 until the end of the war, she commanded a company of female snipers participating in the Battle of Berlin, achieving 89 confirmed enemy kills during her service.
