Niraku Hayashiya, born on August 23, 1967, in Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture, is a Japanese artist known for his paper-cutting performances. He is affiliated with the Rakugo Association and his real name is Yoshikin Yamazaki. He is the son of the second generation paper-cutting artist Masaraku Hayashiya and the brother of the third generation rakugo performer Konan Katsura. Since 2006, he has been invited annually as a cultural specialist to Middlebury College in Vermont, USA, to introduce the art of paper cutting.
