Deshamanya Nissanka Parakrama Wijeyeratne was a Sri Lankan politician, civil servant, diplomat, and poet. He served as the Diyawadana Nilame (Chief Lay Custodian) of the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy from 1975 to 1985, an important honorary position. Until his death, he was also the chairman of The Law and Society Trust in Sri Lanka, contributing significantly to the field.
