He was nominated twice for the Governor General's Award for French-language fiction, first for his novel 'Ah, l'amour l'amour' in 1981 and later for 'L'Ombre de l'épervier' in 1988. Born in Maria, Quebec, Audet published several works including poetry and short stories, with his notable novel 'L'Ombre de l'épervier' adapted into a television series in 1998. In addition to his writing, he served as a professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
