Nooruddin Ahmed is a Bangladeshi academic who served as the 8th Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) from October 14, 1998, to August 30, 2002. He completed his education at Armanitola Government High School and Dhaka College, later earning his master's and Ph.D. from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He worked post-doctorally in the United States before becoming an assistant professor and eventually a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at EPUET, which is now BUET.
