Eleanor (Nora) Fisher (March 16, 1908 – August 23, 2003) was a Northern Irish naturalist and writer, recognized as a leading autodidact in natural history, particularly malacology. She specialized in post-glacial freshwater Mollusca and had a wide array of interests including natural history, geology, and amateur botany. A prolific writer, she published over 400 works. Fisher worked at the Liverpool Museum until her retirement in 2000 and was honored with an honorary MSc by the University of Liverpool in 1991. She was also a prominent figure in several scientific societies.
