Norberto Centeno was an Argentine labor lawyer and jurist, born on February 17, 1927, in Santo Tomé, Corrientes. He is best known for authoring the draft legislation that became a key precursor to the Argentine Labor Contract Regime. Tragically, he was abducted and killed on July 11, 1977, in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, during the military dictatorship known as the National Reorganization Process, as part of the operation called "the night of the ties".
