Norihisa Okuda (February 1, 1919 - 2010) was a major in the Imperial Japanese Army and later became a science journalist and engineer. He worked for Asahi Shimbun, contributing as an editorial member, and was involved in the long-term planning committee for nuclear energy at the Science and Technology Agency. Okuda also served as president of the Asahi Culture Center. He graduated from First High School in 1939 and the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Engineering in 1942, having been among the third cohort of Army aeronautical technology candidates. He was a Catholic.
